Univision/Telefutura Schedule Updates + New Rerun Listings

Live broadcast updates for final group games:

Greece - Argentina
USA - Algeria
Paraguay - New Zealand
Cameroon - Netherlands

...will be live on Univision.

Nigeria - South Korea
Slovenia - England
Slovakia - Italy
Denmark - Japan

...will be live on Telefutura.

Rerun times on Telefutura have been added for games in the group stage (7 PM Eastern/Pacific), semifinals, and final.

Galavision has the "best game of the day" tape-delayed each day at 9 PM East / 6 PM Pac.

As a new feature, on each TV station page you can now view all the live games on that station (green backgrounds) and scheduled reruns (gray backgrounds).

Univision Releases Its World Cup 2010 TV Schedule

Univision has released their TV schedule for this year's World Cup. As we expected, 56 live matches on Univision, 8 live on Telefutura (at the end of the group stage, June 22 - June 25). However, I am holding off on updating the site based on this schedule because the following selections look a little off:

On Telefutura:

Greece - Argentina (a match involving a South American country)
USA - Algeria (USA's last group match)
Cameroon - Netherlands

While main network Univision shows at the same time:

Nigeria - South Korea
Slovenia - England
Denmark - Japan

Wait and see... if the schedule on Univision's site has not changed in a week, I'll update those matches on WorldCupOnTV.com

HDTV Info Page Updated

Info and questions on the HDTV page has been updated to reflect the 2010 World Cup HD broadcasts.

I am still looking for good HDTV screenshots of games from the 2009 Confederations Cup on espn or espn2. Those would probably give a better idea of the HD picture quality to expect from then next World Cup. Please leave a link in the comments below.

A minor tweak to the site. You can now use your browser to bookmark the current list of matches you are on and the back/forward buttons on your browser can be used to navigate through the site like any other. Thanks to the jquery.history plugin and its developers.

Schedule Update: One More Match on ABC and Telefutura in HD

Quick updates to the US TV schedule for World Cup 2010:

Match 7 - Germany vs. Australia on Sunday, June 13 has moved from ESPN to ABC. As a result, ABC now has 10 live World Cup matches on its schedule, including the final.
Telefutura now shows as an HD station when you click the + sign in the Live TV column.
